The Neural Data Science Lab (Prof. Ecker) and the Machine Learning Lab (Prof. Sinz) of the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Göttingen invite applications for
PhD or postdoctoral researcher positions (all genders welcome)
Positions are full-time (currently 39,8 hours/week) up to salary level TV-L E14 initially for three years, with the possibility of extension.
Projects are in the area of data science and computational neuroscience. You will develop and apply modern methods from machine learning and computer vision to analyze animal behavior or fundamental cognitive functions and their neural mechanisms.

Your profile
- Strong background in either machine learning (especially deep learning) and computer vision or cognitive science and computational neuroscience to solve challenging scientific problems
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Very good command of the English language
- For postdoctoral researchers: PhD in a relevant field and ability to lead a small team of PhD students
