Team Lead Plant Transformation Pipeline (all gender)

Do you want to help shape things and contribute your knowledge in plant tissue culture and management to a leading company? Then be our new Team Lead (all gender) Plant Transformation Pipeline of KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA at our headquarter in Einbeck, Germany. The contract will be full-time and permanent. 
 
As a member of the R&D Department Plant Cell &Transformation Technologies, you will have the opportunity to further develop, being instrumental for the production of transgenic plants to optimally support a competitive product and technology development for KWS crops and products. 

This will be in your responsibility:

• Production of transgenic plants applying routine transformation protocols
• Leading the team of up to 7 Technicians 
• Organizing all necessary resources (incl. e.g. workforce allocation, greenhouse space and other materials)
• Close communication and interaction with internal customers & internal services
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures and Working Instructions to enable efficient and safe working environment
• Continuous improvement of the service regarding efficiency and timeline

Bring in your strengths:

• Several years of hands-on experience in plant tissue culture and plant cultivation in the greenhouse
• Recent Leadership experience
• Familiar with regulations around GMO handling & Quality management topics
• Advanced user of Microsoft tools and LIMS-database
• Service management experience
• Proven capability to work independently & make decisions
• •Good written and spoken English (German is a plus)
