Our vision is to completely redevelop the existing self-hosted systems for the cloud. This project, which was recently launched, is developed in an agile (SAFe) manner and uses complex technologies, including MS Azure, IoT Hub, Edge Components, Docker, and more. It's a flagship initiative for us, with a strong emphasis on user experience and interface design. Due to the complex interplay of our hardware systems, which include dialysis machines and water treatment plants, our team will regularly work on-site in Melsungen. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an ambitious project that will not only positively impact dialysis treatment but also B. Braun's entire digitization strategy. Your commitment will help create a software solution that enables healthcare workers to focus on patient care rather than administrative processes. In your new role as a UX Research Engineer, you'll be the go-to expert on UX for our Nexadia software development team. From observing procedures and interacting with healthcare pros to analyzing data and offering insights, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our product. You'll also collaborate with other experts at B. Braun and be an active member of our UX|UI Community.
Duties and responsibilities
- Research dialysis procedures by direct observations in dialysis center and direct interactions with the healthcare professionals and patients
- Attending dialysis trainings and medical conferences as well as studying clinical literature
- You will identify clinical trends, clinical needs and clinical risks
- Be the dialysis expert within the development team with an active role in the development and documentation of the new dialysis software Nexadia
- Analyze and synthesize quantitative data out of data analysis
- You will partner with other clinical experts at B. Braun to share expertise both ways
- Consult the development team on use cases, user interactions and use errors in targeted dialysis applications
- Determine workflows and user needs applying state-of-the-art methods such as User Journeys, Empathic Designing, and Jobs to be Done
- Accompany healthcare professional labs and clinical incubation phases
- Be part of the B. Braun UX|UI Community to upskill and share your expertise
Professional competencies
- Academic degree in psychology, engineering, design, natural science, marketing, or medicine
- You have worked in development or product management for medical products
- You are familiar with and have applied UX methodologies and tools, especially in UX-Research
- Fluent in English and German

- You work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, encourage collaboration, also virtual one and mutual support
