Your role

The Local HR Business Partner Team Lead (m/f/d) for Scent & Care will be the bridge between the Local HR Business Partner Head Germany and the Local HR Business Partner team for the Scent & Care division in Germany. In this position, you will be responsible for the execution of day-to-day activities together with your Local HR Business Partner team, ensuring consistency of approach, building the internal capability and contributing to the implementation of initiatives supporting the business strategy.

Team Leadership

  • Set clear focus areas for your team, effectively managing performance, and supporting development, ensuring consistency of approach and deliverables
  • Accountable for the effective coordination, planning and delivery of activities of the annual employee lifecycle to ensure appropriate resourcing and communication to the business
  • Partner closely with the Regional HR Business Partner for Scent & Care
  • Contribute to the implementation of the new HR Business Partnering model, working effectively with other HR functions and Centers of Excellence

Employee Lifecycle

  • Facilitate effective communication between management and employees
  • Handle day-to-day activities on HR-related employee queries on site level, such as employee safety and health management
  • Participate in the recruitment process for non-standard, local positions by providing complete requisition details and contributing to the hiring decision-making process as appropriate

Legal Framework & Compliance

  • Provide advice and guidance to local management teams on employment-related legal matters, such as discrimination, harassment, leave management, and other legal requirements
  • Provide expert consultation on employment matters related to local and country guidance, serving as the key process and legal framework resource to ensure local compliance with internal policy and external requirements
  • Act as a liaison for works councils, employee representatives, and unions, as applicable

  • University degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years of professional experience as an HR Generalist and/or Partner, ideally with first people management and/or leadership experience
  • Experience leading HR programs and initiatives including talent management and employee engagement
  • Understanding of core HR policies including a sound understanding of employee relations and employment law
  • Detail orientation and awareness of key business metrics
  • Strong partnering, influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively with peers and colleagues
  • Passion for collaboration with other functions, such as HR Centers of Excellence, Local HRBP peers, and cross-functional partners
  • Strong internal and external customer service focus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in German and English is required
