Research Scientist Molecular Technologies (all gender)

Are you a dedicated scientist, enthusiastic to work in the field of Plant Gene Regulation and Genome Editing? The KWS Research Team is looking for a Research Scientist (all gender) Molecular Technologies to further strengthen our Molecular Technologies Group at the earliest opportunity. Support our trait design teams with state-of-the-art technologies to optimally equip our KWS crops and products for the challenges of the future. As a member of our team, you will work with a permanent contract on a full-time basis at the headquarter of KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA in Einbeck, Germany.

This will be in your responsibility:

• Develop and implement technologies for trait gene regulation across crops
• Evaluate and establish innovative genome editing techniques
• Ensure interpretation and documentation of experiments
• Work synergistically in a team of scientists and technicians
• Support project design and management
• Contribute to innovation and pro-active problem solving 

Bring in your strengths:

• PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field
• Profound expertise in Molecular Biology of plants
• Good knowledge and preferably hands-on experience in genome editing techniques (e.g. CRISPR)
• Thorough understanding of transcriptional regulation is desirable
• Experience in design and interpretation of biological experiments
• Ability to work independently, taking responsibility are part of your personality and experience in implementing new techniques
• Being open minded and curious, communicate openly and determined to drive things forward    
• Fluent English skills are needed, basic knowledge of German is desirable
